KTSP DAN IMPLEMENTASINYA

          This paper describes about KTSP and how to implementing. KTSP (Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan) is operational curriculum that organized and implemented by each educational unit. KTSP used start from academic year 2006/2007. KTSP developed by each educational unit and school committe/madrasah which is under the coordination and supervision of the Education Departement or Religious Departement of the District/Municipal for elementary level and provincial goverments for secondary level based on Content Standards and Competency Standards Graduates and curriculum guide developed by BSNP.
        The principles in KTSP development are: 
• centered on the potential, progress, needs and interests of learners and 
   environment. 
• diverse and integrated 
• responsive to developments in science, technology and art 
• relevant to the needs of life 
• comprehensive and sustainable 
• life long learning 
• balance between national importance and regional importance. 
          KTSP has a component: Educational Objectives Education Unit Level, Operations Reference Education Unit Level Curriculum Development. 
          KTSP structure on elementary and secondary education levels set out in the Contents Standards , which developed from a group of subjects as follows. 
(1) The subjects of religion and noble character 
(2) The subject of citizenship and personality 
(3) The subjects of Science and Technology 
(4) The subjects of aesthetic
(5) The subjects of physical, sports and health 
          The contents of KTSP includes subjects; local content; self-development activities; setting of learning burden; increase in grade, and graduation; life skills education, education-based on local and global excellence. 
          Education calendar was compiled by educational units that are adapted to the needs area, characteristics of schools, learners and community needs, taking into account the calendar of education as stated in the Content Standards. 
          In KTSP, the extension of standards of competency and basic competency in subject matter,learning activities, and indicators for assessing the achievement of competence is called with the syllabus. Syllabus prepared by the class teacher / subject teachers. In developing the syllabus should pay attention to its principles: Science, Relevant, Systematic, Consistent, Satisfy, Actual and Contextual, Flexible, and Comprehensive. 
          Subjects syllabus prepared based on the allocation of time provided to subjects during the implementation of education at the unit level of education.
          The steps to syllabus development include: Assessing competency standards and basic competency, identifying  the basic materials, developing a learning experience, formulate  the indicators of success learning, determination type assessment, determining the time allocation, determining the source of learning. 
          While the implementation, the syllabus outlined in the plan of implementation of the learning, implemented, evaluated, and acted upon by each teacher. Syllabus must be studied and developed in a sustainable manner by taking into account the input of the evaluation results of learning, the evaluation process (implementation of learning), and evaluation of learning plans.
