            Mr. Marsigit present this paper at open meetings of the senate, 12 July 2003 as a chancellor canditdate of Yogyakarta State University, 2003 – 2007.

            In this opportunity, Mr. Marsigit explain the work program and direction of development of the proposed University. The work program and direction of development of the University, among others:

1.      develop a good college management system  to ensure the quality, accessibility,diversity, equity and autonomy, with respect to the basic policy and strategic issues both nationally, regionally and internationally.

2.      develop a quality campus, autonomous, independent and responsible.

3.      development of human resources.

4.      encouraged and facilitated in order to create "learning atmosphere" so  that students get a place and opportunity for developers of  reliable scientific nature with high motivation.

5.      Develop a range of research activities and cooperation between universities both domestically and abroad.

6.      Professional development for lecturers include the continuation of studies, meetings,communication, production and scientific cooperation, and increase in rank and position.

7.      proactive in establishing relationships with prospective industrial users of our grads.

8.      Establishing attach school (school laboratory).

9.      Increasing faculty autonomy.

10.  Enhancement courses, among others through the syllabus revision, monitoring apllying the syllabus and learning practices by lecturers in the study program, self-evaluation, needs analysis, and accreditation programs.
